Tryout Schedule
To be cleared to tryout, you MUST have clearance from the Nurse's Office. Each athlete must take the Impact test prior to 9th grade and again before 11th grade. Impact testing appointments can currently be scheduled on the EO Smith website.
Monday, August 24th - Conditioning @ Farrel Field, 3:00-4:15
Tuesday, August 25th - Conditioning @ Farrell Field, 3:00-4:15
Wednesday, August 26th - Submit clearance slips from 2:15-3:00 at Farrell Field
Tryouts (Fitness tests only; no soccer balls will be used; cleats or sneakers may be worn) @ Farrell Field 3:00-5:00
1) Warm-up
2) Cooper test: 12 minute run around perimeter of soccer field. Complete as many laps as possible in 12 minutes.
3) Push-ups: complete as many push-ups as possible in 60 seconds.
4) 60 yard sprint: 2 trials to get quickest time; players will be separated into groups
5) Beep test: players will be separated into groups
Thursday, August 27th - Tryouts @ Farrell Field 5:00-7:00
1) Warm-up
2) Training session
3) Carolinas: Ten 120 yard sprints. First five must be completed in 21 seconds or less. Last five must be completed in 22 seconds or less. Rest
intervals of 60 seconds. Rest interval of 75 seconds after the 4th and 7th Carolina.
Friday, August 28th - Tryouts @ Farrell Field 3:00-5:00
1) Warm-up
2) Training session
3) 3v3 (or 4v4) tournament
4) Goalkeeper training session during 3v3 tournament
Saturday, August 29th (double session)
Morning @ Farrell Field 10:00-12:00 Tryouts
1) Warm-up
2) Training session
3) Juggling: Each player will get three attempts to juggle, starting with the ball at your feet. Highest number of juggles is recorded.
Afternoon @ Farrell Field 1:30-3:30 Tryouts
1) Warm-up
2) Full field scrimmages
